Well I'm back after taking a break and I'm starting off with this postcard from Cambodia which shows some traditional dancers. The name of the dance is called the apsara dance. This dance is not merely a dance but it also conveys a message or theme.

It is always a pleasure to receive a postcard from my friend Chitra from Ethiopia. Ethiopia is full of history and relics of the past and I wouldn't mind visiting there some day.

Lalibela is a Unesco World Heritage site famous for it's 13 rock hewn churches like the one featured in the card. The ruler King Lalibela in the late 12th century attempted to build a replica of Jerusalem in response to the capture of old Jerusalem by the Muslims in 1187. So amazing isn't it?

The marsh men of south Iraq live in reed houses that float on the water. The weather in the south is very hot and the people there mostly rely on fishing.

Another postcard from the United States and the state of Tennessee. Tennessee is located in the south eastern United States and is the 17th most populous state of the United States. It's capital city and second largest city is Nashville.

It's always a pleasure to receive an animal card and this time around this one is of an elk. Elks are the largest specie of deer found in North America and eastern asia. The large antlers on this elk suggest that it is male.

It's another new month and I haven't posted in awhile. I just got a new job so I got a bit tied up. I'm starting up this week with a black and white postcrossing postcard from the United States.

The postcard shows Charlie Chaplain's one of America's first comedians. He starred in a lot of silent movies and was nicknamed "the Little Tramp".
My last post for the night and it is from Brazil. I think after this I might go to the cinema, there are some new movies playing tonight.

Iguassu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguassu River on the border of the Brazilian state of Parana and the Argentine Province of Misiones. It divides Brazil from Argentina.

Happy Chinese New Year to all my Chinese friends in the postcard swapping world. I am starting off with this wonderful multiview postcard of the Basque Country. Basque Country is home of the Basque people of Spain in the western Pyrenees that spans the border between France and Spain.

The card portrays the culture and customs of the Basque people.
