The word Sinulog in Visayan means dance. It is one of the largest and grandest annual festivals in the Phillipines, held every third Sunday of January in honour of the Sto. Nino or the Child Jesus. It features street dancing and a colourful procession bearing the city's venerated image of Sto. Nino.
