This card was sent to me by a 56 year old postcrosser and shows the region where she was born which is Murnau Moor in Upper Bavaria.

The landscape is absolutely breathtaking especially with the mountains in the back.

This is my first postcrossing card I have received in a long time because I have been concentrating on direct swaps a  bit more.

The card is from Germany and shows you musicians in traditional clothes playing on the alphorns.

This card shows a lovely nature scene and what seems to be words to a song or a poem. I don't have no clue what it says as it's all in German.

Lake Constance

One of two postcards received from my penpal Silke from Germany.  It's a map of Lake Constance.  Lake Constance is about 1300 ft about sea level.  The total surface area is about 208 sq. miles.  The maximum depth is about 830 ft.

Norbert also sent me this additional postcard which he writes is Middle earth and the misty mountains.  I guess he read in my profile that I'm a fan of the Lord of the Ring.

Dusseldorf, Germany

The Rathaus or Town Hall contains Dusseldorf's oldest statue.  Dating from 1711 it depicts Jan Wellem on horseback. 

The card was sent via the random system of Postcrossing by Norbert.  He writes that Dusseldorf has 600,000 citizens and is known for fashion, arts and its good beer.

The Berlin Wall

This card shows the Berlin Wall.  This wall divided Germany from 1961- 1989 making it 28 years.  It was built by the German Democratic republic.  The postcard shows how Berlin was divided among the French , British, Russian and Americans.
