This postcard shows a rock in the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes in Israel.  The rock is thought to be the one Jesus stood on when he lbessed the loaves and fishes before feeding them to the crowd.

Mosaic Floor of the ancient Beth Alpha Synagogue

My second card from Israel showing a mosaic floor from one of the most ancient synagogues in the world.  It dates from Roman times about 2000 years ago.  The mosaic floor contains the signs of the zodiac.  Mosaic floors were common then in places of worship or with very rich people.

Masada, Israel

My very first card from Israel compliments Leiah.  Leiah says that this is the the most famous sites in Israel with ancient ruins going back to the time of King Herod.  It overlooks the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth and the biblical location of Sodom and Gomorrah.  Herod built a palace at Masada where later Jews fled there during times of Roman persecution.
