Jame Mosque

This postcard shows you Yazd's main mosque the Jame (Congerational) Mosque built in the 12th century AD.

Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque

Omar Ali Safifuddien Mosque is named after the king of Bahrain's father.  It is found in the capital Bandar Sen Begawan.  It is the landmark of Brunei.

The card got here a bit tattered and I'm just relieved that I received it after a longtime getting here.

Haerati Lenom Memorial

This postcard shows the Haerati Lenom Memorial located in Toshkent which is the Capital of Uzbekistan.  I couldn't find information about this memorial on google.

Sultanahmet Mosque, Istanbul

I was so surprised when I received some more postcards and even fridge magnets from Cuneyt from Turkey.  This first postcard shows the Sultanahmet Mosque in Istanbul.  It was built between 1609 and 1616. The mosque is popularly known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior.  It is still used today and is also a very popular tourist attraction.

Taj Mahal, India

This is my first postcard from India but it wasn't sent by some one from India.  It was sent to me via private swap by Anu from the UK.  The Taj Mahal is the most extravagant monument ever built for love.  It was constructed by the emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth in 1631.
